Fashion Designer. He was most known for his denim innovations and printed fabrics. He studied textile print at the Art Institute in Florence, Italy. He began his fashion innovations as a student and received patents beginning in the 1970s for his leather printing. He received commissions from some of the most well-known fashion houses by the time he was thirty years old. In the early 1970s, he had his first Paris fashion show of the Roberto Cavalli brand, and in 1972, he opened his first store in Saint-Tropez, France. In 1977, he was a judge at the Miss Universe Pageant, where he met his second wife, Eva Duringer, a contestant and first runner-up. In 1991, he premiered the first sand-blasted jeans. In 2002, he opened Just Cavalli Café in Milan followed by more clubs. In 2007, he was one of the first major fashion designers to partner with H&M to bring affordable fashion to the mainstream. In 2008, he was a special guest on the TV Show "Project Runway." He wrote his autobiography "Just Me!" that was published in 2014. His other labels included: Justcavalli, RC Menswear, Roberto Cavalli Home, Roberto Cavalli Junior, and Roberto Cavalli Parfums.
