Mrs. William F. Wilcox died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. D. Tracy, in Massena, after a short illness of pneumonia and heart trouble. Mrs. Wilcox had lived in this city the past thirty years and went to Massena about six weeks ago to visit her daughters. She was in her eighty-second year and was born in Aughton Near Selby, Yorkshire, England. Her parents came to this county when she was 3 years of age and the remainder of her life was spent in the town of Lisbon and in Ogdensburg. Her maiden name was Ellen Castle and she was married to W. F. Wilcox about 58 years ago. Her husband died four years ago. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C. D. Tracey and Mrs. W. B. Raymond of Massena, Mrs. A. H. Northrup of Fort Dodge, Ia, and two sons, William C and John H. of this city; also by two sisters, Mrs. Charlotte Belgard of this city and Mrs. Anna Johnson of Floyd, Ia. Mrs. Wilcox was a woman of sterling Christian virtue and was respected by a wide circle of friends. The remains will be brought to this city and the funeral notice will be given later. Burial was in Ogdensburg cemetery.
