Mrs. Simmons, 60, died Saturday, September 16, 1989, at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA, after a lengthy illness.
She was a homemaker and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Cois D. Simmons, a Sikes native, of Monroe, LA; two sons, Gary Wayne Simmons of Monroe, LA, and Bruce Delane Simmons of Shreveport, LA; three sisters, Jean Jones Chestnut of Quitman, LA, Betty Jones of Pineville, LA, and Mary Ann Jones Baynes of Virginia; one brother, Bill Jones of Tupelo, MS; and her mother, Mrs. Gilbert (Ruby Mae) Jones of Cypress Creek Community, near Dodson, LA; and four grandchildren.
