Alice Weems daughter of R'd and Grace Lee wife of John Weems. Died on the 28th of July 1789 In the 40th year of her age. She possessed of... of understanding brilliance of imigination, elegance of dress not...by many in her by few. Her character was conspicuous of...ilial duty,....love, respect, piety and virtue. Oft would the suffering angel faintly smile, when from her bossom pain and...sigh; and woulst with patient hope, her sister fears beg to check the fear that trembled in her eye. Veil's are her charms in everlasting night, slowed....that brown life friends her possest. Her spoiless soul was winged the flight by serphant into eternal rest. Her remains are interred here to her memory is inscribed this frail monument of respect....her truly affectionate sister E. A. Lee
