"Mrs. Charles Berry died last Friday at the home in the east part of town. She had been ill for several weeks and for week previous to her demise there was little hope of recovery. The deceased was a sister of Mrs. Charles Smith and Lewis Collins and had been married about fifteen years. Besides her husband, one little girl is left to mourn a mother's care. The funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Christian church and were attended by many sorrowing friends. The remains were laid to rest in South Mound. Those attending the funeral from out town were Mr. Berry's mother and brothers from Indianapolis and friends from Cincinnati, Connersville, Muncie and else where".
