Edward Lahti, 71, died Tuesday, May 20, in a Marquette hospital where he was transferred after a two-week stay at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital.

Born in Bisbee, Arizona March 13, 1909, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Evert Lahti. He was wed to the former Lempi Peterson in Bisbee May 9, 1929, and they lived there for a time and then for over 30 years in the Wainola-East Branch area.

Mr. Lahti was a woodsworker.

Allen Cane Funeral Home was open for visitation after 5 Thursday. Interment was in the family lot at Maple Grove Cemetery, Greenland.
