Daughter of Bennett Joy and Sally (Wood) Joy. Lucina moved with her father's family to Redford, Michigan late in 1838 when she was about 14 years old.
   Lucina Joy, age 23, married William Perkins, age 27, April 9, 1848 at Redford by Justice of the Peace Aloah Stockwell. Witnesses included Lucina's brother Warren Joy and brother-in-law Samuel Hardenbergh.
   Lucina and her husband William had 8 children.
