Maureen Kathleen Begley, 45, of Springfield died suddenly on Sunday November 15, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. She was born in Dublin, Ireland on May 12, 1964 a daughter of the late Ed and Helen (Denver) Begley. Maureen was employed as a packager for ETS Human Resources Unlimited in Springfield. She loved her job and the wonderful staff at ETS. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents, Maureen was predeceased by a sister, Helen Jordan who died in 1998 and by an uncle, Bob Denver. Maureen is survived by her sister and caregiver, Allene Begley Curto and her partner Steve Healy of Springfield; her brothers, Ed Begley, Jr. and his wife Rachelle of Studio City, CA, and Gerry and Chuck Jordan; her nieces, Arwen Curto and Angela Curto of Springfield and Alicia Cowles of Wilbraham; her nephews, Aaron Curto and Andrew Curto of Springfield; her grandniece and grandnephews as well as her special friends, Carrie Berthiaume, Jennifer Longo and Rachel Wheeler and her Best Buddy, Kristen Fontanella. Maureen had many friends at Springfield College and loved to attend conferences with her sister and see all of her friends in financial aid. She loved Elvis Presley and Don Johnson and watching her shows about anything Hollywood and was most excited when she could see her brother, Eddie. She enjoyed bowling with Special Olympics and was an avid Red Sox fan. Most of all she loved family and friends. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral home service on Wednesday November 25, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road in Springfield. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday November 25, 2009 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment will be private in the Springfield Cemetery Columbarium. Memorial donations may be made in Maureen's memory to the Greater Springfield Special Olympics in care of the Pioneer Valley Special Olympics, 898 Prospect Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
