AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Corinne Marion Newman Bailey, 95, wife of the late Charles Bailey entered into rest Monday, May 3, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 11:00 A.M., in the chapel of Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Reverend Marion Jay officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She was preceded in death by a son Donald Orander. She is survived by her daughters, Marion Howard of Augusta and Nell Durocher of Milwaukee, WI; son, Harold Orander of Beaufort, SC; ten grandchildren, fourteen great- grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bailey was born in Jefferson County, GA to the late Leon and Mary Stewart Newman. She retired from Roses Department Store and was of the Baptist faith. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Trinity Hospice 2803 Wrightsboro Road Ste. #38 Augusta, GA 30904 or to the Homebound Ministry at Fleming Baptist Church 3027 Peach Orchard Road Augusta, GA 30906 The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., at the funeral home.
