FORMER MIDDLETOWN WOMAN SUCCUMBS IN LANSING, AFTER STROKE
Funeral services for the late MRS. THOMAS WILSON, who died Wednesday evening in the home of her daughter, MRS. ADAM SMITH in Lansing, will be held at the daughters's home in Lansing at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, and from the Jenni[n]gs and Son Funeral Home here Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the mausoleum at Hill Crest cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson, who was 77 years of age, had been in poor health for the past several years. The immediate cause of death was a stroke of apoplexy sustained Monday morning. Mrs. Wilson was born in Ohio and came to Michigan with her parents when a child [o]f four years. The family settled in Barry county. Mrs. Wilson had made her home on Union street in Middletown for the past 29 years and moved to Lansing two years ago to make her home with her daughter.
She was united in marriage to a MR. COON in 1865, and after his death 12 years later, she was united in marriage to THOMAS WILSON in 1879. Three sons, CHARLES COON of Webberville, O., L. COON of Lansing, and ROBERT of Florida; four daughters, MRS. ADAM SMITH of Lansing, MRS. CHARLES EKLIS [WILBER ELKINS] of Lansing, MRS. GEORGE FREET of Owosso, and MRS. ARTHUR SMITH of Fenmore, two sisters, MRS. LUCY SHEPP of California and MRS. DAVID COPE of Corunna, and one brother ORRIS [OREN] LEWIS of Battle Creek, survive.

ADAM SMITH in Lansing, will be held at the daughters's home in Lansing at 10 o'clock Saturday morning, and from the Jenni[n]gs and Son Funeral Home here Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in the mausoleum at Hill Crest cemetery.
Mrs. Wilson, who was 77 years of age, had been in poor health for the past several years. The immediate cause of death was a stroke of apoplexy sustained Monday morning. Mrs. Wilson was born in Ohio and came to Michigan with her parents when a child [o]f four years. The family settled in Barry county. Mrs. Wilson had made her home on Union street in Middletown for the past 29 years and moved to Lansing two years ago to make her home with her daughter.
She was united in marriage to a MR. COON in 1865, and after his death 12 years later, she was united in marriage to THOMAS WILSON in 1879. Three sons, CHARLES COON of Webberville, O., L. COON of Lansing, and ROBERT of Florida; four daughters, MRS. ADAM SMITH of Lansing, MRS. CHARLES EKLIS [WILBER ELKINS] of Lansing, MRS. GEORGE FREET of Owosso, and MRS. ARTHUR SMITH of Fenmore, two sisters, MRS. LUCY SHEPP of California and MRS. DAVID COPE of Corunna, and one brother ORRIS [OREN] LEWIS of Battle Creek, survive.
