Phyllis Easterwood Culpepper, of Augusta, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Keysville Nursing Home Tuesday, June 29, 2010. She was 81 years old.

The funeral service was conducted on Friday, July 2, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Cokesbury United Methodist Church.Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Rev. Sandy Heslop and Rev. Perry Shelford will officiate.

Mrs. Culpepper was loved by all that knew her and was affectionately known as "Fe Fe" by her friends, family, church members and nursing home staff. She was the oldest of nine children and was like a mother or grandmother to so many over the years. She was active at Cokesbury United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents Marshall Alexander Easterwood and Alice Cason Easterwood, her brothers, Darrell Easterwood and Larry Easterwood all of Bremen, GA.

Mrs. Culpepper is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles "Wren" Culpepper; her son, Chuck Culpepper (Rhonda); her daughter, Gail Webster (Lee) and her grandchildren, Chase Beazley, Whitney Webster, Beau Webster, Hannah Culpepper, and Holley Phillips (Steve); and her great grandchildren, Jackson Beazley, Drew Phillips and Ali Phillips.

The Poteet Funeral Home, 3465 Peach Orchard Road, Augusta, Georgia, 30906, 706.798.8886, was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
