Joseph LaPratt, 72, and a resident of Tuscola county for 56 years, died at his home In Almer Friday, November 26, after an illness of four years. Funeral services in charge of Lee Huston, conducted by Rv. Fr. McSherry, were held Monday. November 23. at Sacred Heart church, Caro, and burial was in Caro cemetery. Mr. LaPratt was born In Detroit, and moved to this county from that city. Forty-three years ago he was married and Mrs. Alice LaPratt, with 8 children survive. The children are; John, at home, Alex LaPratt, Caro, Ludger LaPratt, Almer, Mrs. Ester Pine, of Detroit and Mrs. Rose Jonville, Detroit. By occupation Mr. LaPratt was a farmer.
