Mr. McKinley (Mack) Alston was born to the late Fate Alston and Emma Patterson Alston January 29, 1901 in Attala county Mississippi. Mack was the 3rd oldest of 12 children of which 8 brothers and 1 sister preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lottie.

At a mature age, he united with the Mt. Cana M.B. Church and served as a decon for a number of years. Later he united with Avery Chapel Church of God and faithfully served under the pastorate of sister Viola Hulda and Rev. John Louis Hunt.

McKinley, lovingly known as grand daddy Mack by many, loved people and loved to talk, talk, talk, about the Lord, about old times, and about just about anything someone mentioned. He departed this life on Sunday, March 12, 1994 at the Montfort Jones Hospital, Kosciusko, MS; after several weeks of Illness.

He leaves to cherish his memory; six (6) children; Mrs. Loree Beamon, Mrs. Glennie Kirkland, and Mr. Leoga Alston - Kosciusko, MS; Mr. Lester C. Alston - Maywood, IL; Mr. Clemmie and Mr. Walter Alston - Milwaukee, WI; two (2) sisters; Mrs. Zelma Wells - Charleston, MS; Mrs. Wardean Kern - Kosciusko, MS; one brother - W. S. Alston - Milwaukee, WI; four (4) daughters-in-law; one sister-in- law; 20 grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
