Phillip Winter of Sioux City, IA passed away in a hospital there following a sickness which lasted several weeks. He was a retired longtime Plymouth County farmer.

Mr. Winter was born August 21, 1867 on a farm near Hinton, IA. He was married to Mary Bender in February, 1894.

Funeral services were held Thursday, January 10, at the Winter Funeral Home in Sioux City. Rev. M.L. Straube of Le Mars officiated and burial was in Melbourne Cemetery near Hinton.

Survivors include a son, Rudolph, of Sioux City and a sister, Mrs. Mary Newton of Lincoln, NB. Also a grandson and three great grandchildren.

Deceased was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Le Mars.
