Harry was quite a character in the west. He did shows and competitions with horse back riding . He was known for his rowdie-ness . He married his first wife Lois Stevens in Carson City Nevada on 6 July 1932 the divorce was filed on November 28th 1932 in Reno and he was removed from the house to jail after he injured a responding Sheriff .

In Dec 1937 he was shot in the liver and seriously injured in a confrontation, at that time he was listed as a stable owner. One way or another he was forever making the news.

In 1950 he married Joan and that relationship lasted to the end of their lives and together they ran guest houses with very nice gift shops. The guests at these "Dude Raches" were usually waiting out the time requirements to obtain a so called quickie divorce.

At the end of life their papers and items of value were given to the University of Nevada at Reno as evidence of the life in the old west.
