GLOSTER – Services for Montez Poole Cassels, 70, of Gloster, who died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be held at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Brother Bernard Waites and the Revs. Sammy Smith and Charles Nash officiating. Burial will be in Talbert Cemetery in Gloster under the direction of the funeral home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Cassels was born on March 25, 1929, in Amite County to Joseph Hillery and Willie Jo Berryhill Poole. She was a Methodist faith and a retired teacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joseph Poole and Dean Poole; and one sister, Ernestine Sorrels.
Survivors include her husband, David J. Cassels; two daughters and their husbands, Kathy C. and Jamie Froman of Huntsville, Ala., and Amy C. and Buddy Weaver of Gloster; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; three brothers, Phillip Poole of Natchez and Fleming Poole and Jackie Poole, both of Gloster; and one sister, Della Mae Robertson of Meadville.
