In New York, on the 17th Inst., HENRY INMAN, the Artist, in the 47th year of his age. Inman was an artist of fine powers, principally exercised in the department of portrait painting. He wrought with astonishing despatch and precision, and with a peculiar freedom and grace of pencil. At the time of his death he was President of the National Academy of Arts of Design.

The funeral of Henry Inman, the distinguished artist, took place Tuesday, and was attended by a very large number of the most respectable citizens of New York. His remains were interred in the cemetery of St. Marks Church in the Bowery.
