Caledonia Man Taken by Death
Harry Gonyon, 61, 2030 Kilborne Street, Caledonia Township, died Thursday
afternoon at Memorial Hospital. He had been failing in health for three
years.
Services will be held at the Jenning Lyons Chapel on Monday at 1:30 p.m.
with burial at Hillcrest memorial Gardens. Rev. Cecelia C. Learn, pastor of
the Corunna Avenue Methodist Church will officiate. The body will rest at
the Chapel.
Born in Bowling Green Ohio on May 14, 1892. Mr. Gonyon came to Shiawassee
County at the age of 25 years. He was the son of the late Dolfis and Delia
(Jelleno) Gonyon and never married.
For many years Mr. Gonyon was a firemen for the Ann Arbor Railroad, and
worked about 10 years for General Motors.
He is survived by two brothers, Adolph, of Elberta, and Fred, of Muskegon.
