ALICE SIZEMORE LAFON, age 65, of Hueytown Al, passed away August 19, 2012 after a long battle with a chronic illness. Her family and friends were by her side when she drifted off to be with her Lord. Alice graduated from Jones Valley High School, Class of 1965. She is preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Sizemore; and parents, Jack & V. L. Sizemore. She is survived by her husband, Clyde Lafon; son, Jason (Jessica) Greene of Alabaster, AL; daughter, Alicia Greene-Brown of Concord, AL; step-daughter, Michelle (Mike) Winnett of Hayden, AL; step-son, Jeff (Shellie) Lafon of Cullman, AL; sister, Lois Reeves of Pell City, AL; brother, Norman (Sharon) Sizemore of Bay Minette, AL; ten grandchildren; and her two best friends, Liz Perry and cousin Annis Cantrell. Special thanks to Dr. Terry and Kathy Short and Donna Howard for always giving her the best of care. Also a big thanks for her hospice nurses, Louise and Charlie for their love and empathy. Visitation will be held August 20, 2012 at Peoples Chapel Funeral Home from 5-7 PM. Funeral service will be held Tuesday August 21, 2012 at 11 AM in the chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
