Dr. Hansford H. Rowe was the founder of Pet Memorial Park, the oldest pet cemetery in Virginia, in 1934. Despite a long legal battle with the Henrico county courts over zoning laws, he triumphed and the pet cemetery still exists to this day with thousands of interments.
