Cartoon Animator, Voice Actor. He supplied the voice of 'Woody Woodpecker' in many cartoon shorts. Nicknamed "Bugs," he was instrumental in naming the character "Bugs Bunny" when, while working on the film short "Hare-um, Scare-um," an animator handed him a model sheet of the rabbit character. On the top of the paper, the animator had written the words "Bugs' bunny." The name instantly stuck and a legend was begun.
