How or why she moved to Miami, Fl is not known. She is mentioned in the St. Augustine, Fl newspaper in 1890. A May 2, 1904 copy of the Daily Miami Metropolis tells of her purchasing property at 609 Brickell Ave., with plans to build a home by 1906. She also put 20 residential lots in Miami on the market about this time. This suggests that the move to Miami was in the 1902 or 1903 time period. Edna helped form Miami's first women's club. According to the Miami Herald September 9, 1925 she owned the Olympia Theater property and named the theater.
