M'KENZIE RITES CONDUCTED TODAY
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Perry McKenzie, who died early Sunday, were held at 10 am Monday in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with Dr. G. W. Pomeroy, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Monroe, officiating. Interment was in Riverview Cemetery.

Mrs. McKenzie was the widow of the late Charles E. McKenzie, Sr. She died in her home, 1505 Fairview, after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late James Atkins Perry and Ella Elder Perry of Perryville, Louisiana.

Mrs. McKenzie was a member of the First Methodist Church, past president of the WSCS and was a director of an organization for older member of the church called the Golden Fellowship. She was widely known for her garden work activities and has served as a nation judge of the Federated Garden Clubs. She was also active in the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and served as past state president of the American Legion Auxillary.

Mrs. McKenzie is survived by three daughters:

McKenzie Venable of Rayville, Louisiana
One son:
Charles E McKenzie, Jr. of Monroe, Louisiana
Two sisters:
Mae Elizabeth Perry Mouk of Monroe, Louisiana
Miss Rupert Perry of Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Three brothers:
Mose Perry of Perryville, Louisiana
Wesley Perry of Perryville, Louisiana
J. W. Perry of Perryville, Louisiana
12 grandchildren
